The Wellington trainer, L. O. Thomas, opened the Auckland Trotting Club's meeting .veil when he won the opening event on the first day, and he concluded it successfully when he won the last race with Genuine yesterday. Ia addition be also scored a dead-heat for first with Blue ar.d Gold in the first race yesterday. With two wins and a dead-bent Thomas was the most successful trainer of the meeting, and he has a good reason to be pleased witn tne result of his trip for he bad only three horses racing at tile meeting. The other member of bis team was Lady Fan, WHO spoilt her chance each day by breaking up in the early part cf her races. The only other trainer to score more than one win was S.
