MOUNT ALBERT CLUB. Tho annual meeting of tlio Mount Albert, Bowling Club was presided over by Mr. J. Thomaa. There was a largo attendance. The report allowed that tho season started with an increased membership oml throughout had been a successful one. Tho financial statement showed a balance on the credit side, whilo the club continued to add to tho already valuable assets. Reference was mudo to the loss sustained by tho death, of threo popular and valued members in tho tho la to Messrs. Dunn, Grix and Walters. It. was with extreme regret that, owing to health reasons, Mr. G. R. Ktenson retired from tho secietaryship after four years' service. Special mention was also 111 iulo of tho valuable work performed by Air. do C'n.stro, green superintendent, who is also relinquishing his position this year. The twentieth annual meeting of tho El* lerslie Bowling Club was presided over by the president, Mr. A. J. Cappins. Tho annual report of tho Hamilton Bowling Club, presented at the annual meeting this evening, stated that tho past season had been a most successful one, not only • from the point of view of tho play but also from that of finance. Tho club membership was 72. Tho South Auckland tournament was won by a rink from the club. Tho following were the winners of the club competitions:— Champion singles and centre champion of champions, Norrio Bell, junr.; handicap doubles, G. Wrigley and H. The annual meeting of the South Auckland Bowling Centre will be held in Hamilton on Wednesday evening. Tho annual report, which will be presented at. the meeting, states that there are now 31 clubs, with a total of IG2O members, affiliated to the centre. The total receipts for the year exceeded tho expenditure by Sir,. Competitions conducted during tho year resulted as follows:—Champion of champion riuks. Stewart. Crnbb. Green, Gates (Matamatal; runners-lip, Higgotfc, Qualtromch. Choat. Carswell (Whitiora); champion of champion tingles, N. C. Bell (Hamilton): runner-up, 1?. McFarlano (Ngaruawahia); South Auckland Centre tournament, Chanman, Teaman, Band, Aitkin (Hamilton). A party of 2G bowlers from the centre visited the Bay of Plenty in March. Eight rinks took part, in the tournament arranged by the Northern Waikato Bowling Association at Pukekohe, and 15 teams visited Auckland in December for the Hardlcy Shield match. A large number of one-day tournaments had been held by the different clubs in the centre and had proved very popular.
