TOMATO GROWERS.
MEETING OF ASSOCIATION.
Tho annual meeting of flic Auckland Tomato and Stone Fruitgrowers' Association was held last evening, the president, Mr. S. W. riou.se, presiding. Tho report stated that the membership was 100. The Prime Minister had definitely promised legislation (his session for tho registration of tomato growers. Remits for consideration at the Dominion Council f'f the Tomato, Soft Fruit and Produce Growers' .Association, which will open in Wellington ori July 2, were discussed. It was derided to support tho movement for a standaid rase lor packing tomatoes and a universal charge for cases. Messrs. House and G. A. Green veio appointed delegates to the confer■trtce.
