Vincent last evening:—The westerly typo of disturbance is still the controlling weather-factor, and pressure is low in the South. Thero are also indications for another cyclone developing on tho northern Tasman Sea. Expect unsettled, squally weather generally, with showers in most districts, particularly in western areas. Snow is likely on the southern highlands. Westerly to southwesterly winds, strong and squally, veer-, ing to north shortly. Rough seas on the west coast. Local outlook: Unsettled and showery, but improving temporarily. Cold temperatures. Barometer. midnight, steady .. 30.05 in. Midnight, Sunday .. . • 30.051n. GOVERNMENT REPORT. Tho Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows: —A secondary depression is crossing tho Dominion today. The barometer has. risen again at Ilohart, the conditions are still disturbed on tho central east coast of Australia. Indications are for moderate to strong winds, and in places of gale force. Winds will bo westerly at first in Cook Strait and tho eastern districts of the North Island, but otherwise southerly generally. Seas moderate north of East Cape, elsewhere rough. Strong, but decreasing, south-westerly winds and rough seas in the eastern Tasman Sea. The weather will be squally and- changeable, with showers in most districts, and snow in parts of the South Island and tho highlands generally. Hail in places. Temperatures very cold.
