DEVONPORT ORPHANS.

"OLD IDENTITIES" EVENING. Ok! residents of Devonport were entertained on Saturday evening by tho Devonport Orphans' Club. Proceedings took the form of a concert, musical, humorous and conjuring items being given. Tho Hon. E. W. Alison, chairman for the evening, said he always regarded tho "old identities" night as mi opportunity of meeting old friends of boyhood. 110 extended a welcome to all old residents of the district, and recalled incidents in tho early life of tho North Shore when tho 'Takapuna racecourse was part of tho harbour.
