PLEA FOR MORE PURCHASES.
MISS MELVILLE AT OPOTIKI.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] OPOTIKI, Saturday.
A plea for the purchase of New Zealand goods -was made by Miss Ellen Melviile in an address at Opotiki last evening. The Mayor of Opotiki, Mr. G. S. Moody, presided over a good attendance. Miss Melville, who received an attentive hearing, contended that if the ideas she propounded were carried out they would bo found to be the best solution of the unemployment question. At the conclusion the speaker was accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
