NEW PLYMOUTH, Friday,
Six charges under the Bankruptcy Act wcro preferred in tho Polico Court today against Bert Thomas, who was recently brought back from Sydney under escort.
It i 3 alleged that following his adjudication as bankrupt ho loft the country with tho proceeds of the salo of a farm with intent to defraud his creditors; that he did not discloso to tho official assignee all his assets; and that ho put orio of his creditors to unnecessary oxpenso by a frivolous and vexatious defonco in a Court action to recover £2lO.
Tho hearing was adjourned until July 8.
