MUTUAL AID SOCIETY.
SMITH AND CAUGHEY, LTD. At the 20th annual meeting of the Mutual Aid Society (Smith and Caughey, Limited), tho president, Mr. W. It. Richmond, said that since tho inception of tho society in 1910, a sum of £7216 had been disbursed in sick pay. During tho past year payments had totalled the unusually largo sum of £616. Tho present membership of tho society, 369, was a record. Tho balance-sheet showed that £277 had been received in subscriptions, and this would bo subsidised on a pound for pound basis by Smith and Caughey, Limited. Officers wore elected as follows:—President, Mr. B. S. Bullin; vice-presidents, Miss Orosley, Mr. A. Tucker; treasurer, Mr. B. Bissett; secretary, Air. C. B. linker.
