CHARLES SEELING, JUNIOR. PROMINENT ENGLISH FORWARD. A photograph appears in this issue of Charles Seeling, junior, and everybody ."who. knew his father will agree that the son is his living image. C. Seeling, senior, is an ex-Aucklander, now residing in Wigan, in the north of England. He represented Auckland for many seasons on jthe Rugby field, and was a member of ,the famous 1905 All Blacks. He is still regarded as one of the finest forwards .■who has represented the Dominion. Seeling later played the League game, and then signed on for the Wigan Club in 3909-10. He has resided in England ever pince. C. Seeling, junior, was born in Auckland 23 years ago, and went to England with his mother and father in 1909. Following in father's footsteps, young Seel-" ing first came into prominence when playing as a forward for the " Ince All Blacks,** which -won the Wigan District League championship on two occasions. His form was so good that he was asked repeatedly to sign on by the Wigan and JWarrington Clubs. The latter club eventually secured his Services, and, after but a few games for jthe reserves, he won a permanent place in the first .team. Two years ago he Was cbosen as first reserve forward for Lancashire during the trials for the 1928 English team. His form was so good ,tbat many critics believe he would have ■won his way into the English team had lie been given a chance in one trial. Seeling has shown particularly good form in the season just closed, and is ranked among England's best forwards. In a recent letter received here Seeling, junior, expressed a wish to visit Auckland, where his father is £0 well known. He was married in April last.
