A ROYAL WEDDING GIFT.
An exceptionally pretty wedding gift was the brooch that, the King and Queen gave to Miss Ivaitiliri Dawson when she was married to Lord Bingham. The Crown and Royal Cipher in diamonds are set in enamel of a soft cyclamen pink shade, and there is a row of diamonds round the edge of the broach. Miss Dawson is well-known to their Majesties, for her mother, tbo late Lady Elizabeth Dawson, was lady-in-waiting for many years to the Queen, and Lady Bingham herself went, as lady-in-waiting, to South Africa with Princess Alice, and it" was there, in fact, that the bride and bridegroom met, for Lord Bingham was A.D.C, to Lord Athlone.
