REAL TREASURE ISLAND.
WEALTH FOR THE FINDING.
Tho Isle of Man was expected to be a real treasure island this month. Visitors who went there in Juno in search ol health and amusement were to bo invited also to join in a hunt for real wealth. Mrs. Agatha Christie, the novelist who has been commissioned by tho Manx Government to write a short story that will contain clues to hidden treasure, was in tho island recently getting local colour for the story She has been tho guest of Sir Claude Hill, tho Lieutenant-Gov-ernor, at Government House, and her mission is surely tho straugest iu which a novelist has over been engaged. ; To encourage earlier holidays and attract visitors four chests of treasure worth £IOO each aro to be concealed in various parts of the island. Mrs. Christie will write a now mystery story with the title, " Treasure Island," which will guide the it.ute reader to the treasuro chests. Iho conditions are that only visitors can take part in the search and that none can use either dogs or spades.
