STRIKE AT NEWCASTLE. EXPORTS TO FAR EAST. ' LONDON. .Tuno 10. Mr. A. Ci. Kemp, of Hobart, who has arrived in London, via Java and the East, states that 1 lie manager of AngloAsiatic Oil at Singapore saiC that during the Australian coal strike tho company converted all its furnaces to oil-burning. Now there was no need to uso coal. Previously the company used 30,000 tons annually.
The same thing applied generally in Eastern countries formerly dependent on Newcastle coal.
