'CHARGE OF INTOXICATION.

ARRESTED LATE AT NIGHT.

A charge of being found intoxicated in charge of a motor-car in Carlton Gore Road was preferred in the Police Court yesterday against William Jddeson, who was arrested at 11.25 p.m. on Wednesday by Constable Cook, following a complaint by another motorist. Thero was a further charge of committing mischief by wilfully damaging fivo storm lamps, valued at £1 lis 3d, the property of the Auckland Transport Board. Sub-Inspector Shanahan asked for a remand Until this morning, which was granted by tho magistrate, Mr. F. K. Hunt.

Mr. Byrco Hart, who represented accused, made an application for bail, stating that accused could provide £SO. Bail was granted in accused's own recognisanco for that .sum.
