REPRESENTATIVE FIXTURE. THE NORTHERN UNION CUP. AUCKLAND VERSUS SOUTH. The second trial gamo for the selection of Hie New Zealand League team to tour Australia will bo played at Carlaw Park tomorrow ttftomoon, when the Auckland representatives, holdera of the Northern Union Cup, will play a challenge match against South Auckland. Of late years South Auckland has proved a strong combination, nnd tho team to represent tho visitors on this occasion is reported lo bo a powerful side. South Auckland's forwards outclassed the cup holders last year, and the challengers were unlucky to lit? beaten by a narrow margin. The Auckland team differs slightly from the side which beat Northland. Several young players havo been given a chance to make good. Prentice, llobbs, Campbell and Gregory were not availablo for selection, for tin.' Auckland team. Should South Auckland's backs be up to representative form, a close and interesting game is expected.
