PAPATOETOE LEAGUE DANCE.
The Papafoctoe Town Hall was Hie scene of a, very pleasant gathering on Thursday evening, when the Papatocloc Rugby League held an old-time dance. An enjoyable programme of dance music was supplied by the I'a pitoetoe Old 'lime Orchestra', and extras were played by Mr. Elder (aeeordcon) and Mis. Collings (piano). The hall was decorated in blue and gold, the club's colours, and Messrs. .). Henderson anil \V. I'osllewait were in charge of t!:e floor. Mr. A. W. Hall, M.P., congratulated the club on the progress made sinco its inception two years ago. Mr. .7. franklin, chairman of the Reserves Committee of the l'apatoetoe Town Hoard, also spoke. Gaiety was added to the function with a couple of competition dances. A progressive euchre tournament, held in conjunction with the dance, was won by Mrs. I''. Lusby and Mr. Lusby, and consolation prizes were awarded to Mrs. Muncuster and Mr. Hamilton.
