SALE OF STEAMER.
THE LINER RIMUTAKA.
Shipping companies trading between England and New Zealand are gradually selling their oldest steamers and replacing them with up-to-date vessels. The latest steamer that has been disposed of is the New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Rimutaka, which has carried thousands of passengers to and from New Zealand during her 30 years of sea service. She is a twin-screw vessel of 8997 tons gross and was built at Dumbarton, by W. Denny and Bros, in 1900. Her last visit to Auckland was in August, 1929.
