FORDELL TEAM IN FORM.

CASHIER'S PROMISING GALLOP. MISTER GAMP JUMPS WELL. tS [nr telegraph'.— OWN correspondent.] WANGANUI, Wednesday. Tho Ford ell team, Laughing Prince. Cashier. High Fnlutin' and Eqliitant, fill appear to be in good li'ttle. Cashier made many friends by the way ho shaped in a gallop over four furlongs this morning with High Falutin'. Cashier was 'going very comfortably and waa eager to get his head at the finish, the r.allop taking •19 4-53. The way Cashier did his work has caused him to cotno into favour for tho Connolly Handicap. Laughing Prince also pleased tho track-watchers by the easy way in which he held Eciuitant at the end of three furlongs run in 37 2-ss'. Ho is apparently not far from his best form and with any luck at tho barrier must be hard to beat in the Borough Handicap. V. Coleilo has Cuticle looking bright and she was not doing her best in tho early stage.', of a half-milo spin with Admiral Drake, in which they finished together in 40 2-os, tho fastest half-milo of the morning. Valstreet shaped well over five furlongs with Crown Link, the latter also going nicely. They were together at the' finish in Ira Gs, time which they could have bettered. Auctioneer hit, out particularly well in beating Royal Tractor over half-a-mile in 50 2-53. Auctioneer appears to havo Ireshened up since racing at Haweni. Royal Parado covered a circuit by himself and looks very well. Bernera had no difficulty in leaving three furlongs behind in oSs. I'uleta was given a couplo of rounds on the plough, striding out freely. ITe appears to be improving with each gallop. Mountain Heath did six furlongs by himself in lm lGs, .tho last fivo taking lm 2 o-ss. Tho racing last week has done him good. Flying Juliet beat Ben TlUr by a couple of lengths over five furlongs in lm 4s. Moa Bird arrived last night. She appears to be in great heaTt and was not at top in a gallop over six furlongs with Tahoma, tho latter being in front at the end in lm 17 2-ss. 1 Killigrow, with a very light Maori boy up, finished a shade in front of Elicit, Airforco and Perle Do Leon over six furlongs in lm IS 3-ss. Flying Swift beat Kowhatu in a round on tho flat. Prince Lu hit out freely in doing a couple of rounds on tho fl.it. Double Soult was given half-pnco work and is apparently throwing of! tho slight lameness which troubled him after racing at Hawera. Mister Gamp (O'Connor), and Skyridcr (L. Gordon), were schooled over tho hurdles. Skyrider made tho pace in the early stages, jumping well, but Mister Gamp was doing belter at tho finish. They both jumped fast and clean, except that Skyrider hit the second to last fence fairly hard. Mister Gamp looks very fit. Town Bird (O'Connor), also did a round over tho hurdles, jumping well. R. Johnson arrived this afternoon from New Plymouth with The Swell, Bonogne and Ridgemoun ;. Other arrivals included Bright Glow, Mendip, Just So. Anbridge, Benzora, Latakia, Hopwood, Kawhakina, Tontcall, Waitaunaha, Calitho, Marica, 'Royal Acre, Maidos and Vivo. JOCKEYS IN AEROrLANE. A. E. AND L. J. ELLIS. CHRISTCHURCH TO BLENHEIM. The jockeys A. E. Ellis and L. J. Ellis, who are brothers, will be tho first i\i New Zealand to use an acroplano for -the purpose of fulfilling riding engagements at race meetings. They rode at the Nelson nieetiijg last week and.left Nelson on Sunday morning, travelling overland to Christchurch. They caught tho southern express on' Monday evening and rode at Invercargil! yesterday. They will ride there again to-day and will then return by tho express to Christchurch. On arrival in Christchurch tomorrow they will travel by aeroplane to Blenheim in time for tho first race.

AUCKLAND YEARLINGS SOLD. ONE N MAN BUYS THE LOT. The Sydney Referee states that four yearlings offered by Mr. E. Alison and Mr. W. M. Taylor, of Auckland, at the recent Rondwick sales were withdrawn, as tho prices offered were not considered satisfactory. The fact became known to Mr. if. Lyons, a leading Melbourno bookmaker and owner of tho Albury Cup winner Rosberc'ori, and he asked tho owners the price they put on the yearlings. Tho upshot was that he bought tho lot—two fillies and a colt by Romeo and a gelding by.Atla Lad.
