YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
- CONDITIONS IN SOUTH.: Auckland.—The exceptionally long spell of fine autumn weather continued yesterday, but the conditions are mild at night in comparison with the cold snap experienced last week. 'llio wind was light* from tho north-east yesterday, and th 9 barometer showed very little movement, tho reading last night being 30.40 in. Christchuroll. —The weather yesterday was fino and bright in the morning alter 10 degrees of frost, and dull but warm "» the afternoon owing to tho wind swinging from north-east to north-west. 1 10 maximum temperature was 68 degiees. I'® barometer was falling steadily, the reading last evening being 30.06 in., t lO lowest reading for soino days. Dunedin.—The weather yesterday *a* fine and calm, following a cold night an frost, but tho sky became cloudy ® tho afternoon. Tho barometer, which ha, been very high during the week, has a falling tendency.
