EXPANSION LEAGUE.
NORTH £>HORE ACTIVITIES
Tho annual meeting of the North Shore Expansion League was held last evening. The report of the: league's activities, which was presented by tho secretary, Mr. T. Walsh, stated that the organisation had been in existence sinco September, 1927, arid sinco that tinlo had worked to mako known the advantages of 1110 four North .Shore boroughs', Films, maps, booklets, lectures and excursions had been utilised for publicity, and one film of the district had been shown to 500,000 people, while North Shore Had been'listed as a trip for tourists visi,ting Auckland!
Tho following officers were elected:— Chairman, Mr, J. W. Williamson (Mayor of Tnknpuna); committee,. Mr. .A. E. Greenslado (Mayor of Northcote), .Mr. J. P., McPhail (Mayor of, Birkenhead), Messrs. W., Marks, P. N. King, and H. Ballantyne (Devonpqrt), Messrs. S. Gee, A.,Sliiiger, M. Blampied, OTMoller, A. H. Wilkio and F. Ha-wes (Takapuna), Mr. J. E. Griffiths (Northpotp), Messrs. G.
