THE STEAM CAR.
LECTURE TO STUDENTS.
Some interesting facts about the steam car, of one type of which ho is the inventor, were-given by Mr. Abncr Doble in a lecture before the.Engineering Society of the Auckland University College last evening. The lecturer- stated that he had recently driven, from Auckland to Wellington in> a steam car. Ilo t had fpund that the car used very little water during the journey, arid that the petrol consumption was no more than would have been the case with an ordinary car. Mr. Doble then proceeded to ouflino the history of the steam car, elaborating tho manner in;'which the initial difficulties jri construction had been overcome.
