(Received May 10, 1.5 a.m.) SYDNEY. May 9.
The Newcastle coalminers have been debating since Thursday morning whether to accept their leaders' advice to return to work, but a considerable section is still adamant.
The meeting was adjourned until tomorrow.
The fact has just been disclosed that for the past six weeks coal has been produced by non-union labour at two of the northern associated mines. Theso are at Fassifern and Teralba.
It is stated that the men working there are being paid according to the rates set down under the November compromise terms and that a very satis factory daily average of coal is being produced.
