MAN FOUND INJURED.
DISCOVERY BY FARMER.
HORSE ROLLER UPSET.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] KEW PLYMOUTH,' Friday.
A cry for help out of the darkness attracted the attention of Mr. H. H. Olson when he was on his farm late last evening. On searching Mr. Olson found a man lying injured near a roller, and further off two horses with their harness twisted about.
The injured man was Mr. E. Hodges. Mr. Olson did what he could to make the sufferer comfortable, find later Mr. Hodges was sent to New Plymouth Hospital suffering from injuries to his head and ribs.
As Mr. Hodges was lying in a depression when found, it. is 6urmised that he was driving the roller acro.ss Mr. Olson's property, taking a short routp to bis destination, and that in going down the bill the roller became upset in some way. The night was very cold, and it was /uckv that Mr. Hodges' cries were heard, as he was already suffering from exposure.
