THE PLANE THAT STUCK.
A good many of the stories told to passengers at the Croydon Aerodrome are too good to be true, and are seldom told because nobody will believe them. An example of this sort of story is the one about the lg.dy who was travelling along a road in a car near an aerodrome when she looked np and saw a large aeroplane apparently standing still in mid-air over the 'drome.
Slie was unaware, of course, that this was an optical delusion due to the respective rates of travel of her car and the aeroplane, so she hurried to tho aerodrome and informed a startled official that there was an aeroplane in trouble which, although it was obviously making every effort to get down, was stuck in tho air and could not descend.
