MAORIS AND SAMOANS.
Sir, —I consider Miss Melvillo s suggestion io send a Maori woman to the Honolulu Conference a very estimable one. In the eyes of the world Now Zealand is becoming largely coloured with the iSarnoan trouble, and unjustly so. It is quite justifiable that wo should dissociate ourselves from Sumoan affairs by allowing with what exceptional success the Maori race has been treated in this land, llio Maoris themselves appear quite willing and agreeable to be represented on these lines. M. A. Parker.
