SIGNS OF ACTIVITY.
~N PLANS OF BUSINESS FIRMS.

There are indications that several largo buildings will be erected in both Wellington and Christchurch before the end of the year. Mr. E. S. Luttrell, of the
firm of Messrs. S. and A. Luttrell, architects, states that his firm has in hand plans for buildings which will involve a large outlay, including plans for drapery and other firms in Christchurch and Wellington. All the buildings will be of reinforced concrete with steel frames, and it is expected 'that tenders will be called shortly. Mr. Lutti'ell estimates the total expenditure as between £500,000 and £600,000.
