11ACES AT CAMBRIDGE. FINE PROGRAMME TO-DAY. KEEN SPORT PROMISED. EXCELLENT FIELD IN CUP. Keen sport is promised at th'o Cambridge Trotting Club's meeting to-day, when a programme of eight events will bo decided. The various events havo all filled well and runners will bo numerous in almost every race, so that tho selection of winners is likely to provo difficult. There is an excellent field of 10 engaged in tho Cambridge Trotting Cup and tho raco should provide a thrilling contest. It is fitting that the prospects of keen competition in tho leading event should bo so bright, for it is endowed with a good stako of £IOO and also carries a trophy for tho winning owner in tho ishiipe of a case of cutlery. Tho class is far from strong and many of tho candidates havo been found wanting. Tho raco should therefore favour an improver, and Princo Pedro, who ran second in 3m 35 2-5s at his last start, has an excellent opportunity to open his winning account. Littlo can bo said regaiding the prospects of tho others, the best of whom appear to bo Oliver Thorpe and Lord Lu. Backers will probably bo guided by form and go solidly for Prince Pedro and Oliver Thorpo.
