WEDDINGS.

ABRAHAM—BOYLE. The marriage of Miss Muriel Kathleen Boyle, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. Boyle, of Thames, and William Bart lett Abraham, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Abraham, of Parnell, Auckland, took place last Monday in St. Francis' Church, Thames. The Rev. Father O'Mcare officiated. The bride, who entered the church with her brother, Mr. G. Bovle, wore an ensemble blue silk marocain mid hat with touches of red. A shower bouquet of autumn-tinted flowers was carried. The bridesmaid, Miss Phyllis Boyle, cousin of tho bride, wore an apricot satin frock with a picture hat of black georgette. She carried a bouquet of cream chrysanthemums and asparagus fern. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Arthur Boyle, as best man. Mrs. Bovle wore a costume of dark brown crepe de chine, with hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of cream and gold chrysanthemums Mrs. Abraham wore beige silk with hat to match and carried a bouquet of creatn flowers and asparagus.

THORP—RENSHAW. The wedding was celebrated at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Devonport, on Wednesday afternoon of Miss Winifred Renshaw, youngest daughter of Mr. Frank and the late Mrs. Renshaw, of Pine Lodge, Devonport, to Mr. Alfred Fieldon Thorp, eldest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. A. J. Thorp, of Oaklands, Paeroa. The Rev. M. E. Bertram, an old family friend, olfleiated. The bride, who entered !he church with her father, wore a frock of cyclamen chiffon finished with delphinium blue hand-made flowers. Her picture hat was of blue f?lt to tone, and she carried a sheaf of delphiniums. Miss 'Madge Davis, her only bridesmaid, was in almond green georgette and bat of the same shade. She carried a bouquet, of cyclamen coloured carnations. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. E. Renshaw. After the ceremony a reception was held at tin residence of Mrs. J. A. ITarvie, sister of tho bride, at Clifton Road, Takapuna. Mrs. Harvio received her guests wearing a frock of navy floral geoigette and navy hat. Mrs. Thorp." mother of the bridegroom, was in navy marocain relieved with beige, and hat to tone.

VOSPER—CROWTHER. A wedding of interest to a wide circle of friends was celebrated on Thursday evening in St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Cambridge, when Miss Helen Jessie Crowther, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Crowther, of Thornton Road, Cambridge, was married to Mr. Charles Gordon Vosper, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Vosper, of Dingley Dell, Pukekura. The Rev. Canon Strong, of New Plymouth, officiated. The service was choral, and Mr. A. Boyle played the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church-with her father, wore a gown of ivory moire silk. The bodice was Vandyked, and the skirt was made with an uneven hem dipping at the back. The veil of Honiton lace was caught to the head with orange blossoms, and was ornamented with true lovers knots in silver. She carried a bouquet of pink and white flowers. The bridesmaids were Miss Betty. Crowther and Miss Wilma Plummer, of Auckland. They wore frocks of autumn-tinted floral georgette and hats of yellow felt edged with gold and brown tulle. Bouquets to match their frocks were carried. The best man was Mr. Keith Reynolds, and the groomsman Mr. Neville Souter. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride's parents, where a large marquee was erected on the tennis lawn and charmingly decorated with flowers. Mrs. Crowther. the bride's mother, wore a frock of brown taffeta embossed with cherry and grey roses, and brown felt hat trimmed with stitching.
