THE FRANKLIN UNION.
[RY TELEGRAPH. —OWN COB RESPONDENT.] TUAKAU, Friday. Tho annual meeting of tlio Franklin Rugby Union was lielrl afc Tuakau last evening. The president, Mr. S. J. Woodcock, presided over a largo attendance. Delegates wero present from the Pokeno, Fukekawa, Onowhero, To Ivohanga, Bombay, and Tuakau clubs. The financial statement, presented by tho secretary, Mr. P. A. Hillary, showed a credit balance of £2 9s 7d, with (lie accident fund also in credit by £5 Is 9d. Officers elected were:—Patron, Mr. Dynes Fulton; president, Mr. S. J. Woodcock; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. 11. Murray, V. Lindberg, W. J. J. A. Cruickshank, E. Muir, W. Dwen, R. J. Glasgow, C. Walter, Harold Carter, G. T. Proudp, G. R. Clark, F. Kelsall; secretary and treasurer, Mr. Hillary; register secretary, Mr. A. Wray; auditor, Mr. A. H. Tapper: timekeeper. Mr. A. Drake; representative on Franklin "Referees' Association, Mr. A. J. Maiden; delegates (o South Auckland Union, Messrs. J. Mill and Hillary; emergency committee, Messrs, Maiden, G. Bell and Hillary; management committee, Messrs. Woodcock, G. Pope, 11. Geraghty, Bell, Laurie Cathcart, G. Hickey, J. Lawsoii, C. Taylor, .T. "Mill, J. B. Evans, Marden, C. Lewis, M. A. Cruickshank, Hillary; representatives on Franklin primary schools union, Messrs. Maiden, Geraghty, C. Taylor; lion, surgeon Dr. Abernethy. It, was decided that the union's competition in all grades—senior, junior, third grade, and schools—start on Saturday, April 26. It was resolved to forward a recommendation to the South Auckland Union that tho New Zealand rules be adopted in the South Auckland Union's district.
