Tho Kancga Kuchi, a loading and wealthy spinning company, proposes to ml in.*o < 110 wages of ils employees 30 per cent., because of business depression. This threatens to create Labour troubles throughout Japan as other companies inevitably will follow tho example.
In the event of a strike the workmen will forfeit their claim to retiring pensions. Tho latest developments aro causing tho Government the utmost misgivings.
Rioting is reported to have occurred at the Kanegft Fuclii Company's mill at Osaka and at other mills.
