The employers in.the .wool textile industry have refused to meet a deputation from the Trades Union Congress to discuss the wages crisis. The woi'kors offered to accept a 5 per cent, reduction in their wages. This the employers rejected, insisting upon a 9 per cent, reduction. It is feared that there \yill he a general stoppage of work in the industry tomorrow. If so it will affect 150,000 operatives.
