YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN SOUTH.
Auckland.—The weather was changeabl# again yesterday with dull, cloudy conditions in the morning and light, ram showers between eleven o'clock and midday, the wind being from the north. After mid-day the .wind changed to the west and the afternoon and evening were fine and clear. The barometer fell slightly early in the afternoon, but was steady at 29.90 in. during tho evening. Christchurch. —The rain of Tuesday, night was of short duration, only .03in. being recorded. There was light mist yesterday morning, and a few drops of rain at dusk. The day was dull, with only a few glimpses of the sun.: Ih® maximum temperature was 58 degrees. The barometer was falling steadily, and the reading last, evening was 29.68 in. Dtinediti.— For the first time since February 16, rain fell in Dunedin yesterday, commencing early in the morning continuing throughout the day. An inch of rain fell during -tbs day. The wind was very light from the south-cast. Tim maximum temperature was 54 degree*. The barometer \y;as steadily falling, tb# reading in the evening being 29.65.
