Hero is a largo field and moat of the candidates are unknown quantities, so that tho prospects are very difficult to estimate. Tiny Rooo, limit, and Von, 12yds, have lately registered placod performances, and Leo Nelson is reputed to be very promising. It is a raco full of possibilities and tho betting may take a wido range. The favourites may bo Tiny Rose, Leo Nelson and Von.

For the class this is a good field and cji interesting contest should eventuate. Tlany of the candidates lire improvers likely to take belter marks in the near future and the issue is very open. Backers may be guided by recent, form and give etrong support to All Red, Logan's Pride and Gumdigger

Here ia a moderate field. Tiny Rose, who went 2.21 2-5 to finish third at Thames, and Tawa Kins may do best of the limit horses, while Lightfoot and Roldiniv may bo tho likeliest o£ tho others. Solid support may bo forthcoming for Tiny Rose and Lightfoot.

Paradigm, who has boon owned and trained by E. P. Bonjamin, ot Claudelands, lost a good winning chance at tho Hamilton meeting last Saturday by breaking. Lord Haldano alno is now trainod by Paul.

The pacer Tony Victor, who won tho Tharnoß Trotting Cup and finished fourth in tho WaTkato Handicap, will in future lio trained by C. S. Donald at Belfast. One of Donald's patrons purchased him at Hamilton last Saturday. When being sent down in (ho irain Tony Victor met with snnie troublo in tlio horse-box and ho had to bo left temporarily at Taumitruinti.
