POLO IN WAIKATO.
PERMANENT GROUND WANTED [BY TF.IVEGIIAPH. —OWN COIUUSSrOi»I>ENT.] CAMBRIDGE', Wednesday. A special committee appointed by the Dominion Polo Association to inspect sites in Waikato for a permanent playing-field for the Dominion Suvile Clip and provincial tournamonts arrived nt Cambridge thiß morning, and the committco inspected, an area of 18 acres of tlio Trotting Club's property. This area, Bituated in tho centre of tho racecourse, has been offered on Icaso to the Provincial Association lor a number of years, witli right of renewal, for a term of i!i years, subject to revaluation. A thorough inspection of the area was made by tho committee, which was accompanied by officials from the Provincial Polo. Association, tho Matangi, Waihou and Cambridge Clubs, the Cambridge Trotting Club and tho Agricultural Association. An assurance was given to the Committee that all requirements for a tournament, would bo ni£t. Subsequently, the committee loft to inspect a ground at 'C'laudelands and other Bites at To Rapa. A decision will not be m»dc for gome days.
