THE POLITICAL MAZE.
Sir, —To my mind we have far too many men in Parliament endeavouring to run the country, and as we do not appear to have a Mussolini in New Zealand, would not the next best thing bo for the 80 members to go to Wellington and by preferential voting pick out the best ten and let the rest return to their constituencies ? The ten will then by same process choose the Prime Minister. I maintain this executive would do better work and waste less time than at prcsont. The state of the parties just now would be a good opportunity to givo it a trial. April 5, 1030. W. A. Bennett.
