BRIDE'S FATAL BURNS.
WEDDED FOR TEN DAYS. ISLAND ROMANCE SHATTERED. Miss Phyllis Waithman, who sailed from England for .lonely Ocean Island, in the Central PacifiC', U> marry Mr. Andrew Armstroiip; a member of the Colonial Service, died from burns sustained in an accident in the kitchen of their home, ten days after the wedding. ' Mr. Armstrong is the elder Son of lite late Mr. Edmund Armstrong, Keeper of Irish Antiquities, Dublin Museum. Mrs. Armstrong was the daughter of Colonel and Mrs. Waithmnn, of Thomcliffe, Wargrave, near Windsor. Mr. Armstrong went out to take up his post Inst year, and it was arranged that Miss Waithman should follow later. Ocean Island, which is only ten miles square, lies 011 the Equator. Gilbert Islands, 600 miles away, arc the nearest neighbours. .
