THE ABSENT-MINDED MAN.
Here is a little' story in which some of the words here and there are jumbled. See if you are clever enough to find them all out. There was once a funny old man who was so absent-minded he often wore his SLEVGO on his feet, and sometimes tried to cat his hat instead of his NINERD. One d&y when he wont for a stroll along the EEVUNA, it began to pour with rain. " Oh, dear." said the old LETMNAEGN, " now I shall get very wet. What shall I do?" He tried to get TLEEHRS under the trees, but they only dripped heavy drops of rain upon him. So ho decided to hurry home. When ho arrived in his RLAOPUR he was wringing wet, but to his surprise, in his hand he held his BERLMLUA. He had had it with him all the time. The jumbled words in this story in their correct order are: gloves; dinner; avenue; gentleman; shelter; parlour; umbrella. —From Elsa Day, Pnrnkni, Helensville.
