NEW PRAYER BOOK BURNED.
As a protest against the 1928 Prayer Book being introduced into Exeter. Cathedral a copy was publicly burned in front of the cathedral on an afternoon in January. It was carried to the cathedral at the head of a procession of about 100 people.
