CUPID IN CAMERA.
Mr. Ilay Halkett, senior magistrate-at Marylebone, took an unusual courso when tho case of Bray v. Bray was called tho other day. He announced that he would hear the case "upstairs," meaning, presumably, in his private room. It is understood that it related to a, summons issued by. a. girl against her father, who had refused his Consent to Jiier- marriage. When the announcement was made a pretty girl and a young man rose at tho back of the courtroom and loft, together. .On leaving the building later the girl, who was smiling, explained that tho magistrate had given his consent to their marriage.
