A very interesting woman associated with tho Prime Minister's household is Miss Byvoets, the charming Dutch lady who for many years now has looked after I lie creature comfort of the whole Mac Donald family, and from whom Miss lshbcl has learned many of the secrets which have made her such a successful housekeeper and hostess. It is an understood thing that Miss MacDonald could hardly bo her father's companion, entertain him, and keep houso as well, ;>:id Miss Byvoets supervises that side of (ho work for which Miss Ishbel's public duties leave her littlo limu At Lossiemouth, however, tho Prime Minister and his family like' to be entirely alone, and Miss' Ishbel does all the housekeeping at their' Highland cottage, and she and her younger sister sharo tho " chores." As sho has taken up a domestic science course at King's College in London, housekeeping as a pleasure ratlior than a task, and Miss Tslil>el specially delights in tho .simple Scottish cooking. Sho had her " girdle " in tho tiny kitchen at Lossiemouth, and every day there are girdlo cakes and dropped scones for tea, mado on her return from long walks over tho moors with hor father and sisters. *
