WAITEMATA COUNTY.
MEETING OF THE COUNCIL
The Waitemata County Council met yesterday afternoon, Mr. L. E. Kerr-Taylor presiding. Tho county engineer, Mr. A. Murray, reported that wet weather at the beginning of tho month had delayed work, but bettor progress had been mado during tho past fortnight. It would bo in tno interests of the council to place town-plan-ning before tho Counties' Association, and ho would interview the executive of tho association while ho was in Wellington, and ascertain its views. Building permits involving £4962 were issued during tho month.. A deputation from Castor Bay residents slated that tho classification of tho roads prevented passenger buses from running a service to the bay. A committee, consisting of tho chairman, the engineer and the riding member, was empowered to deal with the matter.
