LEARNING TO SWIM.
MANY CHILDREN TAUGHT.
INSTRUCTION AT HAMILTON.
[BT TELEGRArH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] HAMILTON, Friday. Splendid work has been done by the Hamilton Ladies' Swimming Association and the Old Boys' Swimming Association in teaching the children of the Hamilton primary schools to swim. In the past week 350 children a day have been giver, instruction at the municipal bath 3 and at the Whitiora, Frankton and Hilicreso school baths.
It is estimated that 80 per cert, of those who could not swim at the beginning of the wpek are now able to do so. Most of the children proved very apt pupils. A large band of volunteers, including secondary school students, have taken part in the instruction.
