NINE MORE RECOVERED.
LOSS OF MANUKA RECALLED

News from Owaka that nine more pictures have . been recovered from the Manuka wreck area was received by Mr. Murray Fuller to-day. Tho pictures have not yet arrived in Wellington', and Mr. Fullqr. ?,s not certain about their condition. However,, tho fact that the titles of some have been obtained from the back, of the canvas indicates that they must be in fair order. The titles of the oil paintings recovered are: "Down Falling Stream," by S. J. Lamorna Birch, A.R.A.; "Moonlight Off Falmouth," by Julius Olsson, R.A.; "After tho Bathe," by Algernon Talmage, R. A.; "Land's End," by Dame Laura Ivnight, A.R.A.; "The Transient Horn - ;" by Lucy Kemp Welch, R. 0.1.'; "Fishermen at Concaneau," by Sydney Thompson: "The Old Nurso," by Harold Speed, R.P. Another described as •"Interior with Chair and Table Before a Window," is probably an interior by James Durden, R. 0.1. The other picture found is Mr. Davis Richter's "A Vista.'*
