North Olago was to-night reconnected with the Coleridge hydro electric power scheme, a temporary tower being erected in the centre of Waitaki River to carry iiio power line across. Owing to a shortage of water supply and delay occasioned by difficult working conditions in the ' erection of llio new tower to convey tho ppwer lines across tho Waitaki River in place of the tower which collapsed last week.. North Otago was practically without electricity yostcrday, the Power Board finding it impossible to carry on with tho standby set owing to tho water shortage.
