OFFICERS MASSACRED.
RUSSIAN ROYALISTS.
SHOT IN PRISON CAMPS.
RIGA, Feb. 8.
The greatest massacre of officers since the early days of the Soviet revolution has occurred. The secret police carried out a mass execution of all the remaining former naval officers, amounting to several hundred, who refused to enter the Soviet service, although they had remained in Russia. ■■■>,-. The victims were shot at various prison camps, where they had been confined since last year. Their relatives appealed to their co-religionists at Riga to hold requiem masses, which were not permitted in Russia, Accordingly the Orthodox Russians are organising a great service to-morrow. ,
