MINERS IN WAIKATO.
APPEAL TO GOVERNMENT, THE PROVISION OF- WORK, j [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Tuesday. Mr. W. Lee Martin, M.P. for Raglan, has received tlie following advice from the Hon. G. W. Forbes regarding the resolution passed at a meeting at Huntly urging the Government to increase coal orders from the Waikato mines, in order to provide work for miners:—"l am having the matter considered and if it is not possible to give effect to the request I shall ascertain the practicability of providing relief work in the district."
