OUTBREAK AT OTAHUHU. Minor damage was caused by a fire in ft five-roomed house at 16, Moa Street, Otahuhu, owned and occupied by Mrs. Elizabeth Close, shortly after one o'clock yesterday morning. So dense was the smoke that Mrs. Close, her nephew and a visitor had to be assisted from the building through a window. The fire appeared to have originated in the wash-house, which is attached to tho back of the building. The Otahuhu Fire Brigade attended, and the damage was confined to the wash-house and the scullery, which adjoined it. The insurance on the house is not yet known. The furniture is insured for £2OO in the South British Insurance Company.
