COMBINED CLUB'S CARNIVAL
HANDICAPS FOR TO-NIGHT. Interesting racing should be witnessed ;it the Grainmar-Ponsonby Clubs' combined carnival to be held at tho Tepid Baths this evening. Chief interest will centro in the •110 yds Auckland championship, in which tho titlo holder, G. Bridson, tho New Zealand all-round champion, will- be opposed by D. P. Lindsay, the ex-champion. The relay race, in which nil tho city clubs have entered teams, promises to result in a close finish. Tuesday. The Morrinsvillo Swimming Club held n successful carnival last evening. There was u record attendance and record entries were received. A total of 100 competitors took part, including a large number from Cambridge, Hamilton, Paeroa and To Awamutn. There were many close finishes. An exhibition was given by Miss Lily Copplostone. The 50yds South Auckland championship was won by Hall (Cambridge), after a splendid race. Principal results were;— 100 Yards Boys' Championship'.—B. Coombe, 1; I. Barker, 2.
