TONGARIRO RIVER FISHING.
Sir, —Since my last letter in answer to "Salmo Iredens" 1 have read with satisfaction the letters of Mr. Joseph Jones and "Piscator" in your issues of January 28 and 31 respectively, and it is very gratifying to notice that they endorse my feelings with regard to the unjust comments "Salmo Iredens" made with reference to indiscriminate poaching by our Maori people round about here. The insult is very much resented. I hope he now realises that he has made an unvrelcome blunder through being misinformed or guesswork, or a combination of both, and that he should be more cautious in future in making accusations without amplo proof. I would also like him to understand that those in control with their rangers are quite competent to attend to their own business without the inference that they are not. Puataata Alfred Grace. Secretary, Tuwharetoa Trust Board, Tokaanu.
