WATERS NOW RECEDING. HEAVY RAINS ON THE -COAST. BRISBANE, Feb. 3. The Burdekin River has fallen clear of the Inkerman bridge and the train services have been resumed to Townsville. The Charleville-Quilpie line is still interrupted owing to many washouts. In one place the water covered the metals for three-quarters of a mile. Coastal rain registrations in the 24 hours ended Saturday morning were heavy. Only light scattered falls of rain occurred in the interior.
