INTER-STATE TENNIS. NEW SOUTH WALES SUCCESSES. : • SYDNEY, Feb. 3. In an inter-State tennis touvney the New South Wales men and women's teams defeated Victoria by wide- margins. The New South .Wales men won the contest with Queensland, though some keenly fought games were witnessed in this case. The most notable feature of the tourney was the defeat of the Queensland pair, ■Moon and Cummings, by Hungerford and McCausland, 7—5, &—6. The two visitors named subsequently won a keenly contested match with Sproule and Dunlop, 5 —7, 7—5, 8-6. The State championships are now in progress.
